Since its inception in 1983, Columbia Engineers is a closely held private limited company involved in the manufacture and supply of industrial Automotive components to OEMs and Replacement market. Conceived, initiated and established by a young and talented engineer and technocrat, Mr Surinder Singh Dhodi, the company was chosen as one of the two OE suppliers to M/s Maruti Udyog Ltd. for full filling their requirement of Auto Jack Sets for their Car Models among a hundred other applicants. Within just four years of commencing production, the company emerged as among the top three Auto Jack Majors with a stupendous record of 100% growth per annum.
The trend continued in the nineties, and the company was chosen as the single source supplier by M/s Daewoo Motors India Ltd. for their Cielo and Matiz car models.The bankruptcy and the subsequent close of their operations in India did not effect the company’s growth as diversification in the ever growing export market followed. the company became a major supplier the leading export units in India. Moreover, the company became the single source supplier of Auto Jacks to M/s Reva Electric Car Co. Ltd. for Reva Electric Car, the first of its kind in India.
With the induction of Mr Jasmeet Singh Dhodi, an MBA in International Business from AMITY, Noida, the company has entered a new era in growth and expansion. The active family members now acting as partners have combined their complimentary professional skills to build up CEPL. the company aims in attaining a leading position in the engineering industry through quick expansion and quality intensive Target oriented approach. It is pertinent to add here that the company already has more than 25 years of experience in the field of manufacturing engineering components.
Along with a range of Pantograph Type Jacks, the company’s product range also consists of Hydraulic Jacks starting from 1 Ton going upto 30 Ton capacity. The application of hydraulic jacks is not restricted to the Automotive sector as it is used in different sectors of industry having specific application (like hand tools, jigs and fixtures).
